Today's BerkeleyLUG meetup

2017-02-12

Great weather and WiFi fully up-and-running (finally!!)
Myself, Michael P., Chris P., and Dyuhavamir R. are here.

A RedHat/Fedora user named 'Les' dropped in and highly
recommends Dedoimedo's incredibly awesome distro reviews
at www.dedoimedo.com/computer_software.html

For those using and following Debian GNU/Linux,
'Stretch' is "soon" to be the new Debian Stable and
'Buster' to be the new Debian Testing.
Don't know what "soon" means though.
As the Debian Project people say, 'Stretch' will
be released as Stable when it's ready to be
released as Stable.

Also, Dyuhavamir R. mentions that Arch Linux
isdiscontinuing support for the standard 32bit
i386 architecture.

When you must stand up for something important in the face of those who would readily cut you down, then you must continually remind yourself of the words of the great Mahatma Gandhi,

"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win."
