I'm here already - have Wi-Fi:

Also now have laptop with a keyboard that works and *two* internal
SSD drives, running Debian (of course!), and with md RAID-1 mirroring
for the more important/critical bits - and it'll boot from either drive.
Also have fair bit more storage on laptop now - recently added ~2T SSD.
Oooh, it even has eSATA port (and I have eSATA <--> SATA cable, and
drive power supply ...).  Anyway, hardware situation is looking much
better (oooh, and the video even works at the BIOS screens and when
powered up!).

Also have:
ubuntu-16.04.3-server-amd64.iso (finished updating to that image this A.M.),
and ... still need to update and add that to list:

but now I believe I have *all* those ISO images handy on the laptop
(thanks to new ~2T SSD).

Hey everyone,

A timely reminder here that the first BerkeleyLUG meetup
of the month is this upcoming Sunday, November 12th,
from 12Noon to 3:00pm P*S*T (that's of course now Pacific
*Standard* Time) at 85c Bakery, www.85cbakerycafe.com.

85c Bakery is located at 21 Shattuck Square in Downtown
Berkeley; the Southeast corner of Shattuck and University.
The BerkeleyLUG meetup notice is also listed at
www.berkeleylug.com/meetings.  When you enter the main
door(s) of the bakery/cafe, turn left to look for the long table
that's been reserved for our meetup; it's on the first floor next
to the East wall and is fairly-decently handicapped-accessible.

*The 85c Bakery management has apparently received several
"inquiries" (complaints?) about one or two BerkeleyLUG
attendees who've apparently disrupted other non-BerkeleyLUG
Bakery patrons (nearly all students) previously sitting at the
table reserved for the meetup. Therefore, it at least might be
prudent to be aware of this fact and to remind the specific
individual(s) in question to take special care *not* to overtly
disrupt students who are already sitting at the same table
at the 12Noon start of the meetup.

In any case, and as before, any of you planning on dropping
by this Sunday for the meetup are welcome to bring along extra
surge-protected power strips and long, grounded extension
cords for powering the various computing devices you're
bringing along with you.
