Generally not advised to install Ubuntu 17.10 presently, at least on
certain hardware. There's a nasty bug that causes serious problems
with BIOS (as
in prevents ability to boot from USB or alter BIOS settings).

Canonical apparently plans to re-release 17.10 (hopefully with a
