First Pi Day of 2020

Next week Sunday Jan 5 2020 from 11 to 2pm at Cafe Blue Door.

I'll also try to be at Blue Door tomorrow, but I'm working tonight so I may be late.

My project is still the wireless weather station,. I hope that with work slowing down i can finally make some progress.

Also I just picked up a couple of ESP32-CAM's
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S5PVZKV
I've mentioned the esp32 and esp8266 before, they are small wifi microcontrollers.
Originally marketed as serial to wifi for IOT uses, but found to have a good
microcontroller which can be programmed with the Arduino ide.
Anyways these little boards are supposed to be able to stream camera video.  And
I have a project idea for that.  I had thought of using a Pi Zero, and have experimented with wireless AP mode on a PI.  But I think this will be better (lower power and all that)

Also I have read about a new product: wifi usb switch:
https://hackaday.com/2019/12/26/new-part-day-sonoff-usb-smart-adaptor-taps-a-new-wifi-chip/
This may be good for turning on and off an older PI (Pi 4 uses USB C)
BTW the Sonoff smart plugs and switches supposedly use ESP boards and are
hackable.  But this new smart USB adapter uses a new chip.

Any ways hope to see you there.  Happy New PI Year!

Thomas
