Hey folks,

Sorry for the delay, but our next Philly Lambda meeting will be on Wed, January 11th.  Andrew Larkin will present on the basics of Statistical Natural Language Processing.  Location TBD.

Using statistical analysis of text, natural language processing systems are capable of inferring meaning from natural language. This talk will give a brief overview of the structure of some of the algorithms involved in NLP and the theory behind them. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and analyze examples of NLP algorithms and gain some insight into statistical machine learning and linguistics.
