I had a lot of trouble with Five Runs about a year ago. Not only were they incredibly expensive ($50 per box per month), their service didn't provide particularly useful monitoring information. I've heard good things about pingdom as well, but haven't tried them yet. Mike On Mar 6, 2008, at 10:27 AM, Mat Schaffer wrote: I've only ever used the demo, but FiveRuns was pretty enjoyable. I don't think they specifically hit your web port though. They use server side agents to ensure that a given service is running. Around here at the big C we usually use Keynote for that, but I wouldn't call keynote user-friendly really. FiveRuns is still techie- centric, but at least pretty.-Mat On Mar 6, 2008, at 11:22 AM, Walter Lee Davis wrote:Can anyone recommend a good (client-friendly) service that will watch a set of domains to see if/when the web service goes down? Thanks in advance, Walter _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe or change your settings, visit: http://lists.phillyonrails.org/mailman/listinfo/talk_______________________________________________ To unsubscribe or change your settings, visit: http://lists.phillyonrails.org/mailman/listinfo/talk -- Mike Mangino http://www.elevatedrails.com _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe or change your settings, visit: http://lists.phillyonrails.org/mailman/listinfo/talk
