No, that's $550 worth of books *up to* last week, and the explanation
is that I bought textbooks for sixteen students for a class I taught
in Chicago in December.  I haven't added the ABEbooks books to the
total because they're all used and out of print and I probably
wouldn't have bought them from Amazon anyway.

The ABEbooks purchases total about $35 or so, mostly because I just
ordered a copy of a book about the Walled City of Kowloon, from a
bookstore in England, for about $20.

The really amazing thing about ABE is that often the cheapest copy of
a book will be in England, even if you count in shipping costs.  Try
doing *that* without the internet!
