This is such an intelligent response from Bezos. Not so much
admitting that he was wrong - but admitting that he might have used poor
judgment in his initial actions. The fact that he gives credit to the people
involved in conversations with him - and his statements of - in my opinion -
"acting in good faith," again in my opinion; shows not only good business sense
- but also a good person.
He wrote: "Unlike with trademark law, where you must
continuously enforce your trademark or risk losing it, patent law allows you to
enforce a patent on a case-by-case basis, only when there are important business
reasons for doing so. "
I believe this is one of the most poignant parts of the
letter.... I ask the group - what do you think of it?
