I just talked to Dan, and he has kindly agreed to speak to us next week. He'll be talking to us about Parrot, which will be (among other things) the virtual machine behind Perl 6. Dan is the internals designer for Parrot, and was recently awarded a Perl Foundation Development Grant to work on it. The talk will be Monday, April 1 at 7 PM. It will be held at our usual location -- ISI, 3501 Market St. Here's our schedule as it currently stands: April 1 Dan Sugalski on Parrot April 15 Mark-Jason Dominus on Tie::File April 20 Garibaldi's birthday party May 6 Geoffrey Young on mod_perl Looking forward from there, we'd have a social meeting on May 20th, and then another tech meeting June 3 or 10. That's right before YAPC, so let's devote that meeting to people who want to practice their talks. The phl.pm website (http://phl.pm.org) has been updated to reflect the current schedule.
