Just a reminder that we'll be having our November technical meeting tonight. Geoff Young will be giving a talk on mod_perl 2.0 entitled "Why mod_perl 2.0 Sucks, Why mod_perl 2.0 Rocks". As usual, the meeting will be at 7 PM at ISI. If anyone has time before the meeting for something off-topic (though timely and possibly interesting) I'll be going to a lecture sponsored by the Penn Middle East Center entitled "The Islamic Threat: Myth or Reality?". The talk will be 5 PM in Stiteler Hall B26. Stiteler is at 37th and Locust Walk in the middle of the Penn campus, and is just a short walk from ISI. The speaker, John Esposito, is a professor at Georgetown and is the founder and director of the Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding. He's the author of more than a dozen books on Islam, and is a consultant to the US State Department and has been widely interviewed and quoted in the media. Walt Attachment:
