As we discussed a few weeks ago, Dave Rolsky will be visiting the area the beginning of August and has offered to do a talk for us. Dave will be around for about 10 days, but it looks like the best time will be the August 6-10. Anyone have any preferences? It would be best to do it on a day where we can get the room at ISI, but otherwise I don't care. We also need to pick a topic for Dave's talk. He gave 3 talks at YAPC this year: * Perl Modules for Exceptions, Logging, and Parameter Validation * Intro to Mason * Perl DateTime Project. You can find descriptions for these talks at http://conferences.mongueurs.net/yn2007/schedule. So send in your votes, and we'll ask Dave to do whichever one gets the most votes. Someone asked me offline about an August social meeting. I've been waiting to get Dave's talk scheduled first to avoid a conflict and also to kind of space things out. Since we'll be having a tech meeting the first week of August, maybe we could plan on a social meeting the week of August 20th? I could do any day that week except Tuesday the 21st. Walt Attachment:
