Svga is horrible, It doesn't appear to fully support many graphic cards. I
personally couldn't get it to work with my Matrox Millenium "Classic", but bought a
Voodoo2 and started using GlQuake. I would suggest the same for you, quake without
voodoo isn't Quake at all.
