In fact, just this evening I was having trouble connecting to Net Access, and after a failed attempt (would connect but no network connection), a subsequent attempt would not result in a dialtone. A nice simple unplugging of the phone line from the modem resolves it just nicely. I've also inadvertently tried to start PPP while it was already up without any long-term effects. My modem usually got confused, but unplugging the phone line usually cleared it up. Michael W.
