Re: [Plug] Cheeep PCI NIC?

Dave,
I get my NICs from a company called MEI at 800-634-3478.
Order #454769 - a 32 bit PCI NE2000 compatible combo (10BASE2 & 10BASE-T)
NIC for $16.97 + freight. It will autosense which media port you use. I've
installed a bunch of the PCI NICs and they're great.

They also have an ISA combo NIC #283085 for $16.97. We have a three of
those jewels in a 486 linux router boxr I built and it works great. I don't
think the ISA NICs are autosense, you have to run a little program on the
disk that comes with it to configure it to 10BASE2 because they default to
10BASET.

They will send you their magazine with your first order, something every
good hacker should have! Use the ne driver to install them.

Good luck...
Brent
