if you have the sources installd, as root, under X windows:

this first step is only necessary if you're su'ing to root from your
account...if you ran X as root, then ignore this...
# export DISPLAY=:0.0

# cd /usr/src/linux
# make xconfig

if you don't have the soruces installed, you can install them by mounting
the redhat install cd, cd'ing into the driectory with the rpms, and
using 'rpm -Uvh' specifying the source package (I cna't remember it off
the top of my head).
