RE: [Plug] Attachment or not (was: Subject for next month)

I'm actually starting to be intrigued by this.....Let me go ahead and
restate the obvious :

The mails which are coming through as attachments have the following header
fields :
>  Mime-Version: 1.0
>  Content-type: multipart/mixed;
>  	Boundary="0__=xrTX23xLeBJVIKdNO1qTGoUGqYMIlc2Sxfyh5RjlAX2DTZWJzr2cMVPz"

MIME : Multi-Purpose Internet Mail Extensions These fields tell the mail
reader how to format/play the data included in the message. MIME
standardizes how email can be used for something other than simple text.
The Boundary parameter is always different. This value was taken from
Thurba's email today. Basically,
"xrTX23xLeBJVIKdNO1qTGoUGqYMIlc2Sxfyh5RjlAX2DTZWJzr2cMVPz" is used as a
delimiter between "parts" of the message.

Regular emails contain
>  Mime-Version: 1.0
>  Content-type: text/plain;
Which they don't need to explicitly state, as plain text is the default.
And for weirdos like myself, who actually like HTML formatted email, we
send
>  Mime-Version: 1.0
>  Content-type: text/HTML;

That's all very interesting, but the real question is what is being done
differently from w/in Notes for it to do Multipart sometimes and text/plain
other times. I wish that I hadn't clean out my mail here at work yesterday
so I could look for other fields in Vale's and Thurba's emails. (I wish
that I weren't stuck w/ Outlook which makes it a challenge to actually find
the email headers)
