This is why I keep all my Linux floppy stuff on DOS FAT floppies and use Mcopy. `:-} mryan@netaxs.com on 08/20/99 09:50:07 AM Please respond to plug@lists.nothinbut.net To: plug@lists.nothinbut.net cc: (bcc: Thomas A Burba/USVISION) Subject: Re: [Plug] Crashing Linux I done this myself: 1) Mount your floppy drive with a disk in it. 2) Write to the disk. 3) Eject the disk. 4) Say "Oh, crap!" 5) Re-insert the disk. 6) Make an attempt to unmount the disk. 7) Get panicky and attempt to logout. 8) Read amusing kernel panic message. Incidentally, this doesn't quite crash the system, but it does render it more or less useless and requires a hard reboot. Also note that this precludes the use of amd or autofs. Michael W.
