I'm not exactly sure what you mean? Could you take us through an example of how you'd use this kind of program (maybe w/ some example command lines)

Back in the dirty DOS days, I used a nifty little program called "keyfake".
It could pass keystrokes to another program (any kind) thru a batch
(script) process. Does this exist in Linux? How can I get it? BTW, I'm not
talking about command line switches and passing literals to them.
Searchlinux shows nada.
