Just wanted to second this. I've been using this for about three years. Comes with bash, most of the standard gnu utils (byacc/flex/diff/cat/cut/grep/sed/awk/gcc), only thing missing is a good editor. I use a vi clone called Lemmy, but I understand that there are now ports of vim and elvis available for free (I paid $20 for a Lemmy license) and of course there are emacs clones/ports too. If it weren't for VB, writing code under NT could almost be palatable...
