right, but when you pay you are getting 3 things:

1) Tech Support
2) additional documentation
3) The warm fuzzy feeling of knowing you are helping to pay for the hard
work of the best Linux developers.

Many people who pay for the retail box do it for one of those reasons, and
they're all quite valid.
