Oh, you could also use Java. Java has support for database access (through JDBC), plus there are a number of packages, both native and third-party, to support the generation of graphics. Now that I think about it, Java might be a good choice as it can allow you to take a displayed object (such as a preview) and convert it to a printed form. Michael W.
