I'm dissapointed in all of you for not suggesting the possibility of mounting the images as loopback devices :) mount -t iso9660 -o loop 6.1-i386.iso /mnt/cdrom I believe redhat usually mounts CDs on /mnt/cdrom, so the directory should be there, & stuff should work.
