[Plug] NT and Linux

All,
I have two hard drives both are non - SCSI. They are 10 Gig (hdb), and
13 Gig (hda). I hoped to have Linux
on hdb, and NT 4.0 Srv. on hda. When I loaded SUSE 6.1 there were no
problems.
Yet when I went to reboot There was no sign of Linux. My guess is that
when I specified the master boot record it somehow wrote to the boot
sector of hdb. Is this right?
How could I correct this?
Does the / (root) and/or Swap partition have to be on hda?
Regards,
Matt
