As always this depends on what you want to do :) If you just plan to do some web browsing, read some email, etc, then you could probably get by fairly comfortably with 32mb although 64mb would be better. Bear in mind, though, that I'd feel cramped with anything less then the 196mb this machine has therefore I might be totally out of touch with reality :) mg On Sun, 26 Mar 2000, Tom Joyce wrote: > How much memory should a person have on a home PC running Linux with Xwindows? > I do have many services running that I don't really need but I was > wondering what the recommended amount is to run a standard workstation class > installation. > > ______________________________________________________________________ > Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://plug.nothinbut.net > Announcements - http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug-announce > General Discussion - http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug > ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://plug.nothinbut.net Announcements - http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.nothinbut.net/mail/listinfo/plug
