RE: [PLUG] about people who "leaving" as a result of heated discu

Michael...

Wow, "hateful" is a strong term. I can't say I recall seeing any truly
hateful remarks here. It may have happened, but I didn't see it. As far
as "rude" and "disrespectful", yes, "mean spirited", maybe... many people
have extreme difficulty expressing themselves on paper (ok monitor)... you
get them a little hot and they go and write something that sounds ten times
stronger than they think it does... and the person they are writing to,
who is getting hot too, takes it at a magnitude greater than that!.

I'm playing the Devil's advocate because I think there is a lot more that
goes on here than what's on the surface. I just can't accept that so many
mean and hateful people come to this group, or even get into Linux in the
first place. It doesn't ring true to me.

I did not say "lively debate", "strong opinions", or "noisy" for a good
reason. I meant to say that people in this group have shown themselves to
be hateful and mean spirited. I'm all for lively discussion and debate.
Hatefulness, rudeness, and disrepsect are inexcusable, and I don't care
what you're promoting.

No, I don't hear voices in my head;
I'm the one that tells the voices in your head what to say.
