Just convert the rpm to deb and 'dpkg -i' it :) Don't think that was the point; I believe he means having just *1* file format. With alien, you still have multiple formats - and multiple copies of the same program, in different formats. Of course, one file type would eliminate the need for alien altogether. Note that this is not a put down of alien; it probably works very well. >> I was happy to read this, although I'd prefer that the deb & rpm package >> formats be merged. -- *-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-*-^-* Michael Leone <mailto:mleone@joemagee.com> PGP Fingerprint: 0AA8 DC47 CB63 AE3F C739 6BF9 9AB4 1EF6 5AA5 BCDF -- ______________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group - http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements-http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mail/listinfo/plug
