I am not saying you are wrong, but I believe that a person should have the option of posting in whatever he feels is comfortable. Linux is about freedom, and here you are trying to make this person (and others) conform to your liking. I am not trying to start a flame war, but I think we should all have the option of writing in what is comfortable to us.

I'd been aware that it was possible to get mutt to use a text browser to
handle these things, and meaning to set it up, but hadn't gotten around to
it.  When I did a view attachment on that post, I was surprised that mutt
did know to open it up w/ w3m (which formats nicer than lynx.. I may
switch it to links).  So all I had to do was add auto_view text/html.  I
was pleasantly surprised that it doesn't dump me out to the web browser,
but uses the browser to parse the document, and display in mutt's normal
viewer.  Nice.  Thanks.

But I would still strongly prefer that people not post to this list in
anything but plaintext.
