YaBB is, from what I've seen, a fairly good Perl based forum system. It's
in v. 1.2 now with a complete rewrite in progress for 2.0. Basically it's
the UBB (Ultimate Bulletin Board system) with some added features. I
haven't played with it much personally, but I'd take a look at it.
