Have you tried the Metrowerks compilers?
Tracy, I've been working with MW since the eariest alphas of
their tools trying to use them to build PowerPC applications. I
also know most/all of the folks who have worked there over the years,
as well as the two founders ;).
They're available for both Windows
& Mac, and you can likely compile to deploy under MSDOS.
They are also available for Solaris, Linux and a large number
of embedded systems. The latter being why Motorola bought them.
