Just maybe slightly off-topic, but here's a web page that has a chart, showing equivalent commands between various versions of Unix and Linux (for example, the AIX equivalent to Linux's "fdisk" is "crfs", etc. ========================================================= Rosetta Stone for Unix http://home.earthlink.net/~bhami/rosetta.html Getting comfortable with your favorite Unix variant can leave you befuddled when you settle in front of another type of Unix. While the basics of Linux/Unix are very similar, individual platforms have unique system administration utilities and techniques to make them jump through the preferred set of hoops in an orderly fashion. Remembering all of the variations is the challenge, and I'm certainly not claiming to have the world's best memory... quite the contrary, in fact. I've always had a terrible memory, which is why I keep this Rosetta Stone handy. -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Michael J.
