Hello:

	If you chose IDE Raid, you probably won't need a card.  Most
motherboards are shipping with IDE RAID built in.  Most of them are
around $100-$180 depending on the board.

Any particular reason you're avoiding SCSI?

I mean, if part of the point is to reduce MTF...

(That is to say, "I haven't a clue which IDE RAID cards would work
well, as I've only ever used SCSI for RAID.")
