MTA is Sendmail, the most popular mail server of the net.

$ host -t MX lists.phillylinux.org
lists.phillylinux.org   MX      10 merlin.nothinbut.net
lists.phillylinux.org   MX      20 www.nothinbut.net
$ telnet merlin.nothinbut.net 25
Trying 207.44.32.20...
Connected to merlin.nothinbut.net.
Escape character is '^]'.
