Yeah, it's 'ah hoc mode' vs. 'infrastructure mode' in Lucent cards and their terminology. You can't have both at the same time, though - clusters of peer-to-peer and simultaneously "peering" with access points for connections outside the cluster ... or not that I know of, if that's worth anything. :^) andrew.
