Re: [PLUG] resizing ext3fs?

Just last week there was some discussion on this list about the difference between ext2 & ext3 and how parted & Partition Magic should still work.

Don't take my word, though. Check the list archive as I wasn't paying close attention.

Subject: [PLUG] resizing ext3fs?

Hi all,

I upgraded to RedHat 7.2 recently, but I don't have enough swap to handle the new 2.4 kernel. (I only have 15MB allocated) I would just go and use GNU parted to fix it, but switching to RedHat 7.2 also meant switching the filesystem to ext3. Is there anyway I can resize ext3 partitions to give myself more swap space? (like 400-512MB of swap) If anyone knows anything about it, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
