There are AIM clients for Linux.  Kinkatta (kde) and GAIM (gnome), etc.

But he wanted to know about the AOL ISP.  For that, AFAIK, nothing exists to 
connect to it.  I've heard work is coming along for that, but not sure how 
far it is along.
