promise ultra100 tx2

system board is a SuperMicro PDE somethinkg or other, it uses intel 440BX
chipset (BX or GX? I think it's BX)

thats fast.  what controller card do you have?

do you also set -W 1 ? I do that to enable
write cache..probably unsafe but thats the
way I like it.

& yes, In my disks the cache reads are the
same for both.
