[PLUG] Domain Names - FYI

>From the godaddy.com web site...

Question

Network solutions and register.com charge $35/yr for domain name
registration. I guess you have to go thru one of these registrars. If you
are only charging us $8.95/yr, are you losing money on it, because you
have to pay a registrar $35/yr. Or we will get a separate bill from one of
those two firms?

Or will you let us host our address at your site only?

Answer

Go Daddy software is a fully accredited Registrar of domain names.
ICANN, the governing body of domain names has approved Go Daddy as a
registrar. We use no one else's services for completing your registration
of a domain name.

We are a direct competitor of Network Solutions so we offer a better price
of $8.95 per year with no hidden fees and no gimmicks on a domain name
registration. We do not lose money on the registration but do not make the
huge profits Network Solutions does.
