I don't think that's true anymore.  I believe the latest versions of Red Hat require
a Pentium or better CPU.  Although, a distribution that is optimized for Pentium or
better CPUs would be a problem for people trying to make use of pre-Pentium CPUs.
Not a problem for most people.
