I've seen this problem reported by other galeon users on the
galeon-users list.  I'm having trouble finding anything in that
list's archives (because geoweb.com doesn't have search capabilities
of its own - have to go through google)

I think the problem can be cleared up by :
1) exiting galeon
2) deleteing ~/.galeon/mozilla/galeon/prefs.js
3) gconftool-1 --shutdown
4) relaunch galeon

if that doesn't do the trick, shoot your report over to
galeon-user@lists.sourceforge.net (and let 'em know you aren't
subscribed)
