The best plan is to always try to get it pled down to the lesser charge is ignoring a traffic sign (no points) rather then speeding (points). You don't save money on the ticket, but you do on your insurance. You or your attorney can usually contact the officer prior to the hearing and have it all worked out. Robert J. Razler, Esq.
