I use the html mode in XEmacs. It shows syntax colors and also has pulldown
menus of reminders of a good number of options available to you.
XEmacs is a bit of a fiddle to set up as a lot of options are available as
packages (including all the relevant html mode).
I've always compiled the main XEmacs from source and downloaded their packages
with the internal tools after setting up the minimum packages to operate.
