Try checking pricewatch.com for older model video cards. They can be pretty inexpensive. You could easily find something for $25.00. I have a PCI Diamond Stealth III S540 with 32MB of RAM which runs well under Red Hat 7.2, except that it locks up when a particular screen saver comes on. The reason why I have it is because it was constantly causing my father's Win98SE PC to freeze. It worked fine with the generic VGA driver, but when I installed an S3, Diamond, or nVIDIA driver, it would start to freeze again. Strange and beautiful how it works under Linux. Because of the unexplained behaviour I wouldn't offer to sell it, but I might except an offer to buy it.
If anyone in the philly area has a video card that they wouldn't mind selling me cheap, please email me :) Preferably agp but pci is ok too. Don't care about the amount of memory on the thing. Just need something that works ;) _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
