Just ignore it.  From the link that Gabe provided, there were reference
numbers for vendor announcements.  RedHat's, for example, is
RHSA-2000:043-03; I use RH as an example since the compromise attempt
was on a machine running RH7.3.

Going to RH's web site and searching for "RHSA-2000:043-03", you get led
to this page: <http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2000-043.html>.  Then
you note that it lists "Affected Products" as "Red Hat Linux 6.2".  Then
there's no need to worry.
