[PLUG] Apache 2.0.40 Authentication

Authentication does not seem to work in Apache 2.0.40.  I've been looking
for something new or different between Apache 1.3 and 2.0.4 for the past
few hours and cannot identify anything that might be causing authentication
to fail.  Using directory or .htaccess will not work.  I followed the installation
and configuration instructions, which are not difficult to follow.  I have
authentication working perfectly in Apache 1.3 using .htaccess files, but
Apache 2.0.4 will not.  Does anyone know anything more about this?  Maybe
I'm missing something...
