Re: [PLUG] mozilla mail?

Wrong, sir, wrong. (It sounds funny when I say it to myself.) If the client is configured to mark messages as deleted, the "compact" command will remove the messages marked as deleted. So, unless the client is configured to "expunge" the inbox on exit or the "compact" command is used, the messages marked as deleted will still be there next time you log in. It's faster than moving messages to trash. (I also find that it's faster to copy sent mail to a local folder. In both cases less data is sent over the 50kbps wire.)

internals of the popular IMAP servers). So the "Compact folder" command
basically becomes a no-op on an IMAP mail folder; no operation == no
effect. :)
