I didn't even think about parted. I have used it before for
resizing Linux partitions and it didn't even cross my mind to try to use
it for this application. I'll have to look into using it for this. In my
case the new disk is slightly smaller then the old one (3.2 vs. 3.1
GB) which is a reason why just "dd-ing" the whole drive is a slight
problem.
