I'm actually moving this drive from my Windows XP-based laptop, which has one of those external USB 2.0 pc cards that I can plug in, to a more permanent home, connected to my little linux server. The goal is to make it so I can access it wirelessly from my laptop without having to physically plug into anything. The linux box in question, an old celeron-based eMachines box of dubious quality, only has a single USB 1.1 based port, which I'm currently using for my printer. -- jon -----Original Message----- From: plug-admin@lists.phillylinux.org [mailto:plug-admin@lists.phillylinux.org]On Behalf Of Paul Sent: Friday, December 27, 2002 9:54 AM To: plug@lists.phillylinux.org Subject: Re: [PLUG] usb 2.0 pci card? If you already have a USB drive, don't you also have an existing USB port? A Windows (FAT16 or FAT32) formatted drive won't be a problem at all; I wouldn't mess with NTFS. jon wrote: >want to go one step further and share my USB 2.0 drive as well. > >So... here's my question.
