Re: [PLUG] Debian install

Thanks to the people who have written me on this. I have decided to try Debian
later with a different (or at least upgraded) machine.

The problem is that--as I recall from two years ago when I installed Corel
Linux on this same problem machine--I had to work with the Corel people who
figured out that this machine was not current enough for the way Corel
referenced the network. They had to give me specific fixes for it to recognize
the old NIC. This new Debian install on this old machine had the same problem
with the network. So I have concluded that it will be best for me to try the
install after I have a machine available with newer hardware.

Thanks again.
