We are currently in a search for a  Senior Perl/Linux developer with an emphasis on e-Commerce/Web development and Oracle experience willing to excel in the latest technologies.   


CANDIDATES MUST HAVE PRIOR CONSULTING EXPERIENCE, BE CUSTOMER FOCUSED, PERSONABLE AND TEAM ORIENTED.
 
Technical/Tactical Skills required to be successful in this job:
- Minimum of four (4) years experience with Perl
- Five years total experience with programming
- Experience with Object-oriented application design and architectures
- Solid knowledge and/or experience with CGI
- Knowledge and use of DBD/DBI
- Author a Perl program and/or install a Perl Module
- Solid understanding and practical experience with Oracle, SQL, SOAP, XML, and Apache installation/administration
- Practical experience with UML
- Solid background in Unix and C/C++
- Solid understating of Shared Libraries and how they apply to Perl
 
Mandatory Soft Skills required to be successful in the job:
- Self-Motivated, Team Oriented, Customer Focused and Quality Driven
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working with project management, database developers, database administration, systems integration, graphics design, and other developers to integrate tiers of the application. (Team development experience)
- Seek out areas of improvement and communicate to client/non technical personnel
- Mentor junior development and client personnel
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and programming languages
 
Basic skills needed in this job include:
- Programming middle-tier web applications
- Programming interfaces to web-enable legacy systems.
- Programming dynamic generation of user interface.
- Experience with version control and code sharing systems
