The problem may not be with ghostscript but the X font. Try generating the .ps file with a different font and see how ghostscript renders it. One of the biggest problems with X is font selection. It's very possible that X is giving your word processor program one font and ghostscript another even though they are requesting (basically) the same font. -- GPG Fingerprint: C900 18EF 0C36 4EAF A93C F073 85D4 8B3C F3D8 077B On the 20th day of March in the year 2003 you wrote: > Date: Thu, 20 Mar 2003 16:34:26 -0500 (EST) > From: Fred K Ollinger <follinge@sas.upenn.edu> > To: plug@lists.phillylinux.org > X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-1.9 required=5.0 > tests=IN_REP_TO,QUOTED_EMAIL_TEXT,REFERENCES,SPAM_PHRASE_00_01, > USER_AGENT_PINE > version=2.44 > Subject: Re: [PLUG] gs ugliness under solaris 8 [OT] > > > Try using a different font. > > I don't understand.
